Data Collection

UnClosed does NOT collect, transmit, or share any user data. All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API.

What Data is Stored Locally

• Tab information: Title, URL, favicon URL, and domain of closed tabs
• Timestamps: When each tab was closed
• User preferences: Theme setting (light/dark/auto), pinned status

Data Retention

• Records are automatically deleted after 30 days (pinned records are exempt)
• Maximum of 500 records are kept at any time
• You can manually delete individual records or clear all data at any time

Third-Party Services

Google Favicon Service: Used to display website icons (google.com/s2/favicons). Only the domain name is sent to retrieve the icon. No personal data is transmitted.

Permissions

• tabs: Required to detect tab close events and read tab information
• storage: Required to save closed tab records locally
